Live multi-camera video production is not for the faint of heart. You have only one chance to capture the moment, and there are no re-takes. Each event and its location pose its own set of problematic issues. It takes experience, the right gear, and the right crew to capture the moments as best as possible, sometimes under difficult or unforeseen circumstances. At Pro Live Video, we’ve been doing live stage productions since 1996, and live sports since 2012. With each project, we learn something new to make the next project even better than the previous one.
We are also investing heavily in the future with 3D VR180 video production. 3D VR video gives viewers a sense of presence at an event. They can look around in their VR headset and focus their attention anywhere within the video’s captured frame. You can watch the subject before you, or look up or down, left or right, all while sitting comfortably in your chair. A collegiate of ours calls it, virtual presence. However, the equipment, media cost, and processing time it takes to capture and create high-resolution 3D VR video content are only doable with a select few individuals and production companies worldwide. It’s our hope and vision that, as early adopters, these 3D-captured VR videos can someday be converted into 3D holograms for future generations to encounter a slice of history in their living rooms.
